Planetory bodies in Straight line

Ram, my friend, went to a small school to teach kids and to spend fun time with them. He saw there that the teacher was teaching them about Pancha Bhutas (Air, Water, Fire, Earth & Sky) and planetary bodies (Sun and Moon). Children knew them in Hindi but they need to learn in English. So, the teacher told them to showed the spellings in English. Teacher said each word loudly and all kids followed her. But the children got bored after few minutes. After 5 minutes Ram took the charge as teacher.

Ram wanted to make class interesting and not boring. Obviously the best way to learn is by playing game. What do you say? After thinking for a while, he took 7 kids outside the class and named them as the above seven elements.

According to the game all should stand up in a line and the first person closes his eyes. When he counts from one to five slowly all the the kids behind him have to reshuffle themselves and should form into a straight line again. And then the first person has to guess the name of the last person. If his guess is correct he wins 5 points and the person standing in the last position takes the place of the first position and the play continues. If his guess is wrong, no points are awarded and he will be given two more turns. But in all the three turns if he guesses wrongly he gets 2 points and he has to tell a name randomly. That person will come to the first position. At the end, the one who gets highest points will win the game. In this way when he played with kids everyone enjoyed the play and even learned all the words unknowingly with in 15 minutes.

So, the best way to learn anything is to make it a game and play it having a lot of fun. Playing the same game all the time is boring. Ram and kids need new games, don't they? Will you come up with some more games?

Yeah!! I also agree with this.. kids learn mathematics and guninthalu in Indian languages through games. Assign some numbers to some places and them to step forward and they should add or subtract or do anything likethat when they step forward..
For guninthalu, we can have a game of matching.

Past, Present and Future - All are abstract.
